Descent into Darkness: A Soul's Nightmare Odyssey

When I die, where shall my soul descend,
Into shadows where the light may bend?
Through twisted paths in realms of dread,
Where echoes of the damned are led.

To forests black with trees that moan,
And whisper secrets long unknown,
Their branches grasp with ghostly might,
In forests dead of endless night.

To catacombs beneath the earth,
Where specters wail in endless dearth,
Their hollow eyes like burning coals,
In darkness deep, my soul enrolls.

Perhaps to lakes of blood and mire,
Where fiends arise from crimson fire,
Their gnarled hands reach out to drag,
Me into depths where spirits sag.

Or to a mansion, old and grim,
Where shadows dance on a phantom’s whim,
Each corridor a haunting maze,
Where time distorts in chilling haze.

To wander halls of silent screams,
Where madness warps my darkest dreams,
Each mirror shows a face unknown,
In twisted, frightful, nightmarish tone.

And if a place of torment waits,
It’s in the void of soulless gates,
Where silence reigns, a dreadful king,
In shadows deep, where horrors sing.

So when my breath in stillness falls,
And death’s cold hand in silence calls,
My soul will tread where terror breeds,
In realms of fear, my darkness feeds
